Attended Dundee School of Architecture from 2007 - 2013. My strong interest in history and research has been developed by visiting old buildings and ruins within my home town at an early age which has influenced my architectural education and philosophy over the years.
From 2007 - 2009 I worked as an architectural assistant in local offices during the summer vacation to gain essential experience that was crucial in developing my studio work.
After completing my Bachelors degree (RIBA Part I) in 2010 with Distinction I took my professional year out in The Netherlands. I was given an internship with Tekton Architekten, a medium sized practice located in Amsterdam. Working on a wide range of projects both small and large scale gaining experience in a multitude of tasks. Projects varied from residential and mixed use to masterplans and theme parks. I took an active interest in graphics within the office by designing a large amount of the office PR for print and online uses.
I completed the remainder of my Masters degree (RIBA Part II) at Dundee School of Architecture, graduating in 2013 with Distinction. I carried out studio projects and a final year thesis titled "KAZAM!" which was awarded the accolade of 'Best final year student' by the Dundee Institute of Architects.
Passed RIBA Part 3 in 2016 after completing the professional practice and management exam.
Currently working as RIBA chartered architect for Keppie Design based in Glasgow, Scotland.
